WINNERS OF 2015 STEWART PARKER TRUST AWARDS ANNOUNCED

The Stewart Parker Trust Awards 2015 were announced at the Lyric Theatre, Belfast today.

The winner of the Stewart Parker Trust Major Bursary for 2015 is Noni Stapleton for Charolais, a Show in a Bag production.

The winner of the Stewart Parker Trust/BBC NI Radio Drama Award is Stephen Jones for From Eden, produced by Awake & Sing Productions at Theatre Upstairs.

The BBC Northern Ireland Irish Language Drama Award went to Gearóid Mac Unfraidh for Séanadh.

 

The Stewart Parker Trust Shortlist for 2015 was:

  • Emily Gillmor Murphy for A Boy Called Nedd (Bitter Like A Lemon Productions at Theatre Upstairs)
  • Noni Stapleton for Charolais (Developed as part of Show in a Bag, an artist development initiative of Dublin Fringe Festival, Fishamble: The New Play Company and Irish Theatre Institute)
  • Stephen Jones for From Eden  (Awake & Sing Productions at Theatre Upstairs)
  • Dick Walsh for Newcastlewest (Pan Pan at Smock Alley Theatre)
