PAUL CURLEY TAKES UP ITI OFFSITE RESIDENCY AT COISCÉIM DANCE THEATRE

Marking the first of a series of summer 2017 residencies, ITI is delighted to announce that Paul Curley will complete a one week residency (26th June – 2nd July) at CoisCéim Dance Theatre.

Paul enjoyed the opportunity to complete an ITI Off Site residency at CoisCéim in 2016 working with Shane O’Reilly, Clare Barrett, Ger Clancy and Denis Clohessy on the development of two projects and returns to CoisCéim in June to continue further development of one of these pieces.

Paul Curley is an actor and writer with particular expertise in making theatre for young audiences. As a devisor and collaborator he has worked with a wide range of companies in Ireland and the UK. Some recent work includes: How to Keep an Alien tour to Finland, New York and New Zealand (Rough Magic Theatre Company); Happily Ever After (Action Transport Theatre UK); An Ideal Husband (The Gate Theatre); FARM (WillFredd Theatre); The Bockety World of Henry & BucketThe Song from the SeaA Murder of Crows (Barnstorm Theatre); Assassins (Rough Magic SEEDS); Mr Benn (Tall Stories, London). As a writer, BAKE! premiered at The Ark, Dublin and toured nationwide before receiving its Asian premiere in Taipei Children’s Arts Festival (July/August 2016) and more recently in Hong Kong (April 20147).

Paul is an alumnus of Irish Theatre Institute’s Six in the Attic resource-sharing initiative. He has also participated in Pan Pan Theatre’s 3rd International Mentorship Scheme working alongside theatre artist Tim Crouch.

ITI Alumni OffSite @ CoisCéim is a resource-sharing partnership between Irish Theatre Institute and CoisCéim Dance Theatre designed to support and facilitate creative development opportunities for independent artists in Ireland. ITI OffSite is supported by The Arts Council/An Chomhairle Ealaíon.
