EUGENE DOWNES TO LEAVE CULTURE IRELAND

Irish Theatre Institute would like to acknowledge the important contribution made by Eugene Downes as CEO of Culture Ireland. ITI has worked with Eugene over a number of years firstly, during the consultation period for the development of Culture Ireland which he led and, subsequently, with him and the Culture Ireland team since its inception in 2006. We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate him on the role he has played in promoting the work of Irish artists across the globe in the past five years.His legacy in the area of international performing arts development will be felt by Irish artists and companies and among international colleagues for many years to come.

We, at ITI, wish him well in his future endeavours.
