16 Nov 2011

Irish Theatre Institute would like to draw your attention to Culture Ireland’s promotional mission to the United States in January 2012. It is focussed on the Association of Performing Arts Presenters Conference [APAP] which takes place annually in New York. The Conference coincides with the Under the Radar and Coil festivals which take place in New York over this weekend.

Culture Ireland invites applications from artists, promoters and/or agents from the theatre, dance and music sectors [particularly in traditional and jazz music genres] will be selected to promote specific projects at APAP. Priority will be given to those who have suitable high-quality work available to tour, with a particular focus on North America (for a period of at least 18 months after January 2012) and who will benefit most from the networking opportunities provided by the conference.

APAP is the leading international arts market, networking and showcasing event for North America and Canada. It provides an opportunity for arts professionals to meet international promoters and presenters to pursue showcasing and presenting opportunities, particularly in the North American market. Irish Theatre Institute has attended this Conference since 2003 and has reaped the rewards of connections and relationships built at it.
