Irish Theatre Institute to attend ENICPA meeting

ENICPA is the European Network of Information Centres for the Performing Arts and will co-host this meeting with the International Theatre Institute in Germany. The meeting, which is open to members and guests, will focus on three major areas of ENICPA’s work: (1) Information dissemination and social media. (2) Gathering of information, statistics and data - what kind and for whom? (3) Documentation online and copyright issues.

The meeting will be attended by Siobhán Bourke, Co-Director, Irish Theatre Institute

Keynote Speakers Include:

Ad Aerts: an Internet concept developer with over 25 years of experience who, until recently, worked for Theater Instituut Nederland where he developed the concept of the Dutch online theatre encyclopaedia.

Paul Keller: an expert in copyright law and community media, is a member of Kennisland (Knowledgeland) an independent think tank focussing on ways to spark the social innovations needed to improve the knowledge society. He manages a national project, Creative Commons Netherlands, and is involved in co-operations with Europeana www.europeana.eu
