Irish Theatre Institute’s Information Toolbox is a key networking event Fringe Festival participants can’t afford to miss! Returning for its seventh consecutive year, this tailor-made, energetic event is a proven success, and produced specifically to meet the needs of new and emerging theatre and dance companies/artists. Information Toolbox provides a dynamic environment where Irish companies and artists can promote and pitch shows to the people who run venues and festivals and also begin a dialogue with the key funding agencies and support organisations.

Information Toolbox runs along similar lines to speed-dating. On arrival each participant is given a personalised schedule of meetings allowing them to meet a variety of presenters, venue managers and funders over the course of the morning. Each meeting lasts for eight minutes and we provide breakfast and an endless supply of coffee to keep everyone fuelled through out!

In order to take part in Information Toolbox you must register in advance on this website, you can’t book them through the ABSOLUT Fringe box office.

Places are limited and registration will close on August 31st to allow the ITI team sufficient time to compile everyone’s personalised timetable. Due to the nature of the event it is not possible to simply join in on the day – last year more than 1,000 meetings took place at Information Toolbox. It’s a whirlwind of activity, but it all needs to be organised in advance so register early!

In recent years and in response to demand, Information Toolbox has invited a number of hand-picked representatives of international organisations, so that companies and artists with work suitable for the international stage can explore programming trends abroad and investigate the possibility of re-mounting their shows in an international context.

If you have international touring aspirations for the work you are producing in this year’s Fringe, and would like to meet international presenters at Information Toolbox, please contact ITI in advance to discuss this further.

The ITI Team is available to support particiapnts as they prepare for Information Toolbox and we run Information Clinics every week. If you would like to get more information on the event or any aspect of presenting your Fringe show please don’t hesitate to get in touch. To book an Info Clinic contact Claire O’Neill: coneill@irishtheatreinstitute.ie. Info Clincs a really great way to ensure you maximise your meeting time on the day and get the most out of this event. It is recommended that everyone participating in Information Toolbox meets a member of the ITI team at least once in advance of the event.

ITI is also offering all Fringe companies space for production meetings, free of charge, in its building on 17 Eustace Street. Production meeting slots normally last for two hours and again can be booked by contacting Claire O’Neill: coneill@irishtheatreinstitute.ie. They are on a first come first served basis and we’re open from 9.30-5.30pm, Monday – Friday.

Information Toolbox is funded by the Arts Council and project funded by Dublin City Council and Culture Ireland.
