Irish Theatre Institute’s 6th annual Information Toolbox took place on Friday 16 September 2011. Information Toolbox is a key networking event presented specifically with the needs of new and emerging theatre and dance companies and artists in mind.

INFORMATION TOOLBOX provides an ideal environment for new and emerging Irish companies/artists to promote their shows, pitch work to venues and festivals and begin dialogue with key funding agencies and support organisations. This event also provides participants, whose work shows potential to tour abroad, with an opportunity to meet with international organisations and theatre/dance presenters.

This year presenters came from Australia, Estonia, Germany, Italy, Portugal, England, Scotland, the U.S. as well as across the country including Carlow,  Clonmel, Cork, Galway, Dublin, Kerry, Leitrim, Louth and Meath.

The objective of Information Toolbox is to create an environment where companies and artists can investigate the possibility of re-mounting their shows following ABSOLUT Fringe or, indeed, to create new work in the future.

ITI’s Information Toolbox is an event for companies and artists presenting work at ABSOLUT Fringe as well as other emerging artists and companies from across the country.

At the recent 2011 Information Toolbox 50 artists/companies met with 44 arts organisations (including 12 International presenters) across 1,078 eight-minute meetings in 5 hours.
